Privacy Policy ๐
Effective date: August 25, 2026 ยท Applies to the Poplings iOS app
Poplings is a kids game app, and we designed privacy the way we would want for our own children: we don't collect your data โ or your child's.
The short version
- No account. Poplings works fully offline with no sign-up.
- No data collection. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information โ no names, no emails, no location, no identifiers, no usage analytics.
- No ads, no trackers. There are no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
- On-device only. Stars, stickers and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage.
- Purchases go through Apple. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details.
What stays on your device
Your child's star count, sticker collection, daily-gift streak, sound preference and free-play-day status are saved locally on the device using UserDefaults. This data never leaves the device, is never backed up by us, and is deleted if you delete the app.
In-app purchases
Poplings offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (weekly and annual plans with a free trial) managed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and subscription management, cancellation and restoration are handled in your Apple ID settings or via the "Restore Purchases" option inside the app. Purchases and settings are protected by a parent gate.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Because we collect no personal information from anyone โ child or adult โ Poplings complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy laws by design. The app contains no third-party advertising, no behavioral profiling, and no external links from kid-facing screens.
Permissions
Poplings asks for notification permission only if a parent turns on the optional daily gift reminder in Settings. Notifications can be switched off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Poplings works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the app before the change goes live.
